It offers all kinds of different walking and treking routes including mountains, forestry, areas of historical interest, places of natural beauty, wine producing areas, coastal walks etc. You never have far to travel to get to the start of your walking route, eliminating the need for long bus journeys. Since the lake is man-made, there is a path that leads from the springs down to it. You can walk through a tunnel, but it is narrow and dark.
This park is easily accessible from all the main points on the island since there is a road here. You can easily drive yourself but depending on where on the island you’re located, you might also be able to take a taxi or a bus. In fact, the park can be found in between two village – Colymbia and Archipoli. The seven springs join together to form the River Loutanis which flows through an 180 meter long dark, narrow tunnel. While the springs are nature’s gift, the lake is man-made.
